Our church is a vibrant, loving, family-friendly ministry located in Rock Island, Tennessee just 4 miles east of McMinnville overlooking Sparta Highway. Since 1991, our church has faithfully served the Lord by serving our community. Our desire is for our community and the whole world to know the love of God by unapologetically declaring the good news of the gospel and by serving our community through outreach, ministry events, and fellowship.

Pastor D.J. Willis
Senior Pastor
“Hey there, my name is Pastor DJ Willis and I am the lead pastor of Eastside Baptist Church since the beginning of March of 2025. I was called to preach in 2008, ordained after I graduated Bible College in 2013, and I have served the Lord in various ministries across the country through evangelism, outreach development, and associate ministry of music and outreach events. Amanda and I were married in 2013 and we have three amazing children; Emmalee, Owen, Tara. Since the call to ministry, my wife and I have a burden to reach people with the gospel and connect them to a family-oriented ministry where the Word of God is passionately preached and taught and where lives are changed through the truth. One of the reasons that the Lord used to lead us to Eastside was the tremendous love and friendship that we felt when we walked through the doors. We would love to see you become part of this family and to see what plan God has in store for you through this ministry.”

We desire to glorify God through music, giving, and service!

Our worship is a blend of old-fashion and modern songs. Find yourself a pew or chair, make yourself at home, and worship the Lord with us.

We do not make dress standards a focus at our church. Many of our church family dress appropriately and casually. We want you to be comfortable, but our desire is for God to work and transform our hearts.
